Always sad to leave. Got up, got ready, went to breakfast. Sat and enjoyed our balcony a little bit longer.
Now, we are sitting in the lobby waiting for our pick-up. I will be home to see Harley soon!

Day 4 - October 6 - RIU Caribe
Mom has been sleeping a lot! Not sure if she really likes the beds or is bored.
Breakfast
We went to the buffet again and then off to the pool. I put our towels out before we went.
Pool
I didn't pick the best spots because my chair had no sun until about 11:30 a.m. It was super windy agan today and it was also a red flag day. Mom was bored out of her mind. I kept asking her if she wanted to do something, but she said we would just relax. She said she was going to the lobby, but last night when I was in the lobby, she wanted to go to the room! Hmmm!
Lunch
I told mom to wait till after lunch at least and then she could go up. We went to the buffet again, and I stayed out a while longer.
R&R
I went back to the room and sat out on the balcony while mom took a nap. When the sun couldn't reach the balcony anymore, then I went in and took a nap too.
Again, I had a hard time getting mom up. She finally got up at 5:00 to get ready.
Lobby
We came down to the lobby to blog, and there are new vendors here today. One guy personalized a shot glass for me to keep as a souvenir.
We were approached by two very drunk guys who were lookng for a middle aged (around 43! Uggh) with a beard. Gee, think there are any people who look like that here! LOL
European
We had a dinner reservation for 9:30 p.m. We were sitting in the lobby for a while when I decided to go to the steak house to see if they could take us earlier. The dining room manager was so nice. He said that he could accommodate us.
Steak House
We got the best seat in the house with a great view. The menu is the same as the RIU Tequila, but we liked it. They gave us Sangria as a welcome drink. I do love Sangria. Tipsy after two glasses though.
Host
The Host from the buffet restaurant saw us eating dinner and stopped by to say "Hi!" He said he didn't recognize me without my sunglasses. LOL They are my trademark.

October 5 - Day 3 - RIU Caribe
Morning
Mom woke up and turned on Good Morning America to find out what the weather was going to be like. However, they don't provide the weather for Cancun! She never even tried to find the local weather.
Breakfast
Breakfast was uneventful. We went to the buffet, and it was good.
Pool Time
After breakfast we went to the pool. It was so windy out, and not that hot though. I thought the water was cold. We read for a little while.
Plaza Las Americas
We decided to go back to the mall. Fortunately we did, because they had the boots that I wanted at the other mall and I bought them in black (although I wanted grey). I can't wait to wear them to work on Friday. \A taxi pulled up in front of the resort and offered to take us there for $4.00, so we did that, but on the way back, we took the bus. We spotted another casino from the bus. I told mom that we could go, but she didn't want to.
Afternoon
I thought I could lay out on the balcony, but there wasn't any sun, so I went down by the pool while mom took a nap. It was so windy though, I thought I was going to become a kite!
Mom was excited that her soap opera was on T.V.
Dinner
Dinner was at the buffet tonight. They had a survey regarding the service at the resort. They had chocolate fondue with strawberries and marshmallows for dessert.
Vendors
They have vendors in the lobby selling their goods. Mom and I checked it out before dinner, but nothing exciting. It gave us something to do.
Mom freaked out when one of the vendors gave her a price! It was in Pesos!...It's not like she hasn't been here for a few days or ever before!
Blogging
Mom stayed in the lobby while I went to get my laptop, and by the time I returned, she said she was going upstairs. She said she had another stomach ache. I think she ate too many vegetables.
Did I mention that the lobby is non-smoking? I love it!
Lip Sync Show
The show tonight was very good. They did the Village People, Queen, Celine Dion, the Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, and more!
After the show, the entertainers took a bus load of people to Senor Frogs...each night, they go to a different club.
Instead, mom and I listed to the band in the lobby.
